Cancelled Class Monday March 26

Class is cancelled this week. Please post daily sound journal on your blog. And come next week with your sound sources. If you are familiar with Garage band proceed with editing if not bring sound sources for demo next week.

I will be checking blogs for written entry of homework (not actual sound files) this week.

Let me know if you have questions.

Source and Sound

Objective: Identify, Analyze and Create Sound as a method of expression.

Project: You will notice and respond to Sound as it relates to your source. Become aware of the landscape of sound in the same way you approach a painting or a photograph. Where are the subtleties? What are the shapes, values and forms of what you hear? Keep in mind your “Source.” If your Source had a voice what would it sound like? If it had a noise what would you hear?

Technical Skills: Capturing and Editing Sound

Question to ask yourself:
Would this be part of an installation or video or a separate project?
